Lorde (Real name: Ella Maria Lani Yelich-O'Connor) is born on 7 November 1996. Lorde is a New Zealand singer-songwriter. Unbelievable, she is so young! Younger than me, ahaha! She read a lot of books, making herself a huge reader and furthermore, her mother is a poet, hence I guess it is easier for her to write lyrics and songs. Alright, I should read more books too.
Avril Lavigne's new song - Let Me Go ft. Chad Kreoger is an amazing song. It has this haunting feeling behind it and makes me want to linger longer in the feeling. I love the piano playing and the duet with her husband is awesome. I kinda had a feeling that this song speaks of many things. My guess is that her new married life with Chad Kreoger(Nickelback- Frontman) is a 'new life' and she is letting go of the 'past memories' with ex-husband Deryck Whibley. It is just my random guess because I love how stories can be expressed in songs.
In the music video, you can see abandoned mansion, sort of like in the earlier century depiction. Avril is sitting on a couch and singing the lyrics to the song. She is so beautiful! Beside the sadness on a velveteen couch, there was an old man smashing the hourglass, spilling the sands through the hourglass. Of course, Avril will always be spotted with her trade-mark eyeliner. AHAHA!
