Girls' Generation: TTS Holler Album Review

 My ladies are back! TaeTiSeo officially made their 2nd mini album comeback through their showcase on  September 16 and released mini album physically on the 18 itself. 

I'm super excited to do a TaeTiSeo's 2nd album review because I managed to buy a physical copy of it on Monday night at LASERflair and the feeling of holding the album after 18 days of waiting (for Holler to hit the shores of my sunny island, Singapore) just feels AMAZING! 

After removing the plastic cover, here's how it looks like. 

It feels bare like a photography album but at the same time looks like a storybook to me.

I love the design of the CD. 

A 'S' ― Seohyun, is perfectly fit in between the 'T' ― Taeyeon and 'T' ― Tiffany!

Cover page shows 3 ladies laying down, staring widely at you, hinting you to turn the pages to discover more about them. Are you ready? I am. 

 At LASERflair, I felt a little nervous and hesitant when choosing which album to buy.

There was only 2 albums on the shelf. 

You tell me how can I not feel hesitated when there is ONLY 33% of getting Taeyeon's photocard in the album?! 
By the way, Taeyeon is my biased in Girls'Generation and of course, in TaeTiSeo. 

"May the odds be ever in your favor."

Trust me, I was wriggling in excitement when Taeyeon's photograph card dropped out of the page titled 'Adrenaline'. 

I could totally feel the adrenaline of happiness rushing through my body!!  (puns intended)

 Let's discuss about the comeback concept. 

I think they shedded their bubbly, fancy Twinkle concept and headed for a more mature, yet a little sexy concept for Holler.  I personally like their new concept as it is refreshing and it definitely brings out another hidden side of their onstage appearance.  A new dimension to what TaeTiSeo is all about. 

 If you also an avid fan of watching the variety show titled The TaeTiSeo ,you definitely learnt that this album is made up of each individual member's hard work and effort.

 Most obvious keypoint, which often featured in Episode 4 and 5 was that Tiffany served the role of a visual director for this album. She met up with costume designers, plan out and discuss about costume concepts for their showcase and for their music video. 

I could see that Tiffany was very meticulous visual director during their album photo-shoots. An example would be her giving Seohyun good advices in posing and making sure that Seohyun looks good in the pictures. 

In addition, Tiffany also makes sure that each member looks great in the Holler music video. One episode showed Tiffany addressing a lighting issue to the music video crew and she requested that the scene lighting to be adjusted to balance out Seohyun's costume color with the rest. Not forgetting about Taeyeon, she pointed out that Taeyeon was missing out on accessories when shooting Taeyeon's solo parts which makes her hands looks bare. Hence Tiffany personally went to the accessories table and picked out suitable golden handcuffs and earrings for Taeyeon. So sweet right? #taenymoment

In one of their many interview, I learnt that Taeyeon was the one who took the responsibility for the song selection in this mini album Holler. I think it was really fitting for her because she is the main vocalist in Girls' Generation. I trust in Taeyeon's song selection and truly believed that she has done a good job because she took the effort to eliminate songs that wouldn't be in a repeated playlist as currently all 6 songs are like-able to me. 

At the very beginning in most interviews, it was revealed that Taeyeon's favourite song was 'Whisper'. Later on, it became 'Only U'. Similarly, these two are my favourite! 

A personal touch to any music album is the penning of lyrics for the songs.
Seohyun, the Maknae in TTS, was on a family trip to Switzerland where she thought she could write her lyrics to the song, and she beautifully penned down the lyrics for 'Only U'. It is a song which I love because the lyrics connects to me, expressing how a person's smile can make me smile and you just desire to be with that special someone who makes your heart beats.

Tiffany totally rocking the messy, yet gorgeous hair braid.

Personally, I did not have any favourite teaser photograph of Taeyeon because I felt she looked better in the photographs featured in the album. Nevertheless, their overall concept is refreshing and well-done!
